The issue with pictures is that you can't take screenshots while installing AFAIK. Sure I could use a camera but that might start to be tricky. Besides, Lion will be out soon and it would require a new guide ;)

What frequency range will the xion usb turntable sample at? 44khz, try and go for 96khz to get a better de-clicking and de-popping result (though there's some debate about this). Vinyl has better results when recording at 24bit also.
The file format is kind of mute, but I always record mine in WAV to keep a master copy, then convert later using DBPowerAmp tools (on windows).
Plus Wav is supported in iTunes so you can convert using their dubious converters within iTunes itself.
Edit: I also use Audacity as it enables you to do a lot more filters without damaging the original copy.

Basically you are saying that the case is physically warped and that I should apply torque on the MBA case to fix the warp. That sounds a bit risky. I think I will bring this back.

You can start with very little pressure.

I also have perceived speed increases on my MBP after the updates. Startups and shutdowns are much faster and the overall feel of the system is "snappier".

im planning on going to southgate, you think if i got there around 7 i would walkout with an iphone? are lines usually big in edmonton? im just here for holidays and thought i should get a new iphone 4. i know in toronto the store is downtown has pretty big lineups. so i was just wondering do lots of people usually line up here?

I have a 1TB WD Caviar Black drive as an external and I'm glad they put in the Seagate in mine.
My Caviar Black is fast, but it's a lot of clicking and seeking.
I also have a Caviar Green and a Caviar Blue, the green being my favorite as it's pretty silent.
I can't hear my Seagate drive at all even when transferring documents at full tilt.
I have to say, I'm used to SSDs but I think I'll be OK with this drive until Lion is released and hopeful the Intel SSD 320s drop in price and I get the nerve up to open this baby up and do some surgery... :rolleyes:

Also that is one sure way to fry your Mac. Power surge can happen at any time.. Do you really trust those $100 surge boards for 24/7 use or do you have UPS.
Also think of how much dust gets in there...
Not smart to leave your computer on 24/7.

Probably not. If your iPhoto library is anything like my iPhoto library -- it would eat up 1/2 of a 256 gig SSD. Same with my iTunes library. And my movies folder.
So your iPhoto library will have to be on the platter drive.
Same people who talk about their "tons of Aperture work with RAW files" -- well those files wont be fitting on a 256 gig SSD.

Here are a few things:
1.) Check you color sync profile.
2.) Load in a blank white picture and move it around the screen.
Are there really hot spots.
3.) Load in or create a b/w test 4 square test pattern. Do the same.
4.) Try these resolution test patterns.
SMPTE and BWH test patterns to download. (http://brighamrad.harvard.edu/research/topics/vispercep/tutorial.html)
5.) Are you a smoker, or is the screen in direct sunlight for a time?
Spotty yellowing may occur behind an in front of the screen from smoke and nicotine. Sunlight may damage a screen with UV.
If you find "hot spots" and have AppleCare, give Apple a call.
6.) If your dog does pee on the screen, it should just drip off. If it doesn�t, you dog may be diabetic. Glucose in the urine will cause it to stick.

What file are you trying to download? Do you have a link. I can Dow oaf to airsharing, or file browser. Do you have a file handling app at all?
