According to the Supreme court corporations are to be treated as individuals. With the rights and privileges of being an individual comes the burden of taxes :) Corporate personhood - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corporate_personhood)
If corporations do not use any resources provided by the US govt, they shouldn't be taxed, unfortunately thats not the case. Corporations use the infrastructure and security provided by the govt and they pollute. Taxing corporations is the only way to recover the costs to govt/nation because of their existence within the US.
GE is not a person. All of GE employees as well as share holders pay taxes on their income. Why do you want to double tax the companies and make them go out of business? Thats one reason companies have to setup operations in tax haven countries.
It's as if the wife has to pay taxes on her salary and then the husband has to pay taxes on the pocket money he gets from his wife as monthly allowance to run the house hold. (Just reversed the traditional places of husband and wife for fun).

My wife is in a similar situation. I-94 validity matches passport expiry (Dec 2008) , but H1 visa stamp is until Mar 2010. She has a new passport, but we are not sure if she will be out of status if she does not get a new I-94 and stays in the country beyond Dec 2008.
Get your I-94 corrected - BTW, staying beyond I-94 date is unlawful and you will be barred from entering US.

Thanks for your response.
The problem is that I don't have any support (other than copy of the receipt notice) for the first I-140. I have approval notice for the second one. But the application date on the second I-140 is more than 6 months later than the application date on I-485. And because of that USCIS thinks that my I-485 is not valid based on the seconf I-140. So they are asking for more proof (specifically the original receipt notice) for the first I-140 which was filed before I-485. The first I-140 was filed by a different attorney and he is not reachable through any means.
What should I do in this case? Is there anything can be done to convince USCIS? is there anything legal can be done against the previous attorney (who filed the first I-140) to provide the original receipt of the first I-140?

Cake - that is by design. Place the contents of your grid inside a ViewBox control (WPF only I believe). Once you have done that, you will see the contents of your grid scale as its height gets altered.

Just think that you read a joke!
US Govt will try and squeeze every single penny whereever possible, especially, considering the high unemployment rates lingering around lately!
Infact Indian govt should learn how to milk money from the US corporates who operate in India. Probably they do now but unfortunately the benefits are not reaped by the common masses in india!

Unfortunately, your new wife cannot file the I-485 until your PD becomes current. Because she cannot file her I-485, she will not be entitled to an EAD based on having a pending I-485. If your new wife's country of birth is not the same as yours, you both may benefit from quota cross-chargeability rules.

My Job ad says: Sr Business analyst wanted ... with MS/MBA or foreign equivalent with 5 yrs exp.
I have
BSc in physics - 3 yr India degree
PG diploma in Instrumentation - 1 Yr India PG diploma
PG dip in marketing mgmt - 1 Yr India PG dip (E learning)
PG dip in buiness admin - 1 Yr India PG dip (E learning)
MBA - 3 Yr India PG degree (E learning)
6 yrs in healthcare, 2 yrs in sales, 5 yrs as Business analyst with Indian s/w vendor. 13 yrs in total.
Does my job ad allow me to qualify for EB2? Will I have any issues at my I-140 stage? Pls share your thoughts
If 5 yr exp. is there, then the required exp. should match. Can you match requirement list and show matching previous exp.? If so it should be EB2 - if not then I-140 will not be approved.
This is the place lawyers provide better advise - how to match (req. vs exp.), so that they can defend case in case of RFE.
As such the job req. seems to be EB2. It has no relationship with individual. Individual have to match it.

Its so depressing & frustrating Not to see any movement in EB2 dates. For the past 3 months there had been no movement in the EB2 dates. Every time I open with a hope that something will happen but its the same shit each time.
Don't know when this wait for GC will be over, friend of mine who spend equal or may be less time as me in UK had now got the PR of UK, some who went to AUS, S'Pore got PR within 1 yr and same with Canada...but this US is the only sucking place with screwed up policies which benefits only the business and govts.
