this is my experience - I efiled for myself for EAD only (no AP applied so far - we had been to India recently) and I got a FP notice. for my wife, we renewed by postal mail and she didnt get any FP notice -- we already recd her EAD card (in roughly 25 - 30 days).
I had efiled mine few days before her and so
far nothing - only soft LUD's.
and yes ..EAD was renewed for only one year ..so I guess USCIS still treats this as a cash cow !!!http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif

I understand your concern; however the USCIS now has concurrent filing which means that I-485 applications and I-140 applications can be filed at the same time. The USCIS will work on your case if the priority date is current even if the I-140 is not yet approved. They will simply adjudicate the I-140 at the same time they adjudicate the I-485.
The Amended I-140 was necessary to notify the USCIS of our name change. The Amended I-140 will ultimately need to be approved before your AOS application can be approved, however with concurrent filing what often ends up happening is the I-140 and I-485 are adjudicated at the same time.

I think we need to be pretty careful in the way we approach him, because he seems to be highly opinionated and passionate about things he cares for and at the same time he will go lengths to screw someone/something that he does not like/believe in. So I think IV core/media relations team should do their due diligence before contacting him.

I believe both are right. I do not think 123456mg is wrong. S/He is a law-abiding person like us and has a right to state his opinion. I agree, the statements were a bit harsher but so the truth is. Also, I guess we must stop discussing more on these matters as such since it is past and can not be changed now. Though you have my personal symphathies unlike 123456mg, I do not think the actions you chose were correct and you require a correction from that perspective. I suggest you talk to experts regarding your immigration matters since your looks like a difficult case to me.

I understand the 10-day rule, but when does the clock start?
The date of lease starting or the date of actual move.....ideally these shouldnt be too far apart, but in my case they will be, hence the confusion.

As per my understanding 10 days is from the time you change your permanent address. Due to lease constraint I also had two apartments at same time. I filled online AR-11 within 10 days after I moved to new apartment.

The only way to go for Premium processing of 140, is to extend H1 beyond 6 yrs..as of current regulations. So in your case, if you are still around 5 yrs of H1. that would be the solid case, to opt for PP of 140 and h1 ext. So that, your case can have few updates.
This is only my understanding.. I am not a lawyer. I know the pain of Backlog center delays, as my case was there since 09/03 till 05/07. I respect your concern and hopefully u guys are taken care.

Is it useful if we take Info pass appintment in this case and enquire about our case status?
Why not USCIS offer I-140 premium processing for older priority dates?
Can I-485 be pre-adjudicated even if I-140 is pending?.

I applied I-140 in PP last week of June and got approved in 3 days. And got
email approval notice in three days.
But after one week only I got receipt and approval notice on the same day.
My lawyer refused to file with email approval notice. This is the reason I missed
to file my my 485 on June28th/29th.

I just wanted to see if I can make a point with my thread and hence gather some support for the common cause,. ease the pain for EB2/EB3 guys.
I started this thread a month back. So how many of you, or those you know, lost their jobs in the last one month. Just a study. And wanted to press on the same point as the 1st post I did.
If you had lost a job, would you do more now to high light our problems..and participate more.. ??

I had my diploma in Mechanical engineering (3 - Years) and B.E. in mechanical engineering. My job requirements were Bachelor's Degree plus five years experience. I don�t remember evaluations agency name now but I will get that for you tomorrow.

- Take an infopass appointment at your local immigration office to check her approval status; If it is showing approved you are fine; then you would just need to contact the customer service at USCIS service center to find out where her approval letter is.
- If her case is not approved, apply for EAD and AP if you have not done it already.

but we received an RFE Yday forwarded from my old address which I moved out 1 year ago and filed AR11.
also the RFE stated that there is no G28 representation on our case and worst thing was online status is still pending.
We had lost 13 valuable days because of address they used in RFE.

Please do not hurt any ones feelings and sentiments (think about your self in that situation and then answer.
People come to IV because they think that there are some good people who would suggest and help.
And please remember one thing, if you are in a hurry and dont have time. you would not think about browing or searching, but post your quesiton. And who knows he might have even done his browsing and asking for experts opinion.
And IV is an org and it at their wish and will of individual whether to contribute or not.
so please do not force any one.
